Water Balloons, Sunscreen and 1st Grade
I have spent the last 45 minutes filling up water balloons. I don't realize how much I dislike water balloons until this time of the year. We don't have a water hose handy, so I have to use the faucet in our sink. I can't even use the little convenient spout that they provide. So, 50% of the balloons are successful and the other 50% are broken in the trash can. The kids saw me filling these up this morning and could barely contain their excitement. This makes all of the broken water balloons worth it. When I met the kids this morning, I got a huge whiff of sunscreen. This is one of the signs that summer vacation is close! It's so hard to believe that this school year is almost over. I have really enjoyed watching these kids grow up and learn so much. They have really come a long way since we met in August. Today, we will go over to Mrs. Elkins' classroom. Mrs. Elkins is a 1st grade teacher. They will get a sneak peek of what it will be like to sit at a desk in 1st grade. I can't wait for all of the memorable experiences today. It will be a lot of fun!
